RIP, Teddy Pendergrass
January14
March 1950 – January 2010
Of course there are musical babies who would have no idea about Teddy or his music, but he rocked my world. Music can do so much and touch so many and yet feel like it was specifically written with you in mind. There are so few Teddy’s being churned out these days. I guess they do no make music or musicians the way they used to.
Read an obituary here.

I’m aware of his immense talent but only familiar with two or three songs, nga kitalo.
I first heard about Teddy Pendergrass when I was about 8 years old through my aunt. She told me that if Teddy Pendergrass met a kid and the kid could say his name, he would give that kid a sweet. I crammed the name just in case I ever bumped into him some day. I grew up to love his songs. R.I.P Teddy Pendergrass
Told a friend about Teddy death and they assumed he was a jazz musician…oh well RIP..
P.S
So sorry i didn’t “come over to your place” dudring recent holidays…was home only week or so…and dreaded malaria took me down two days or so…hope you and the boys okay..
His music takes me places and to worlds that bring that inner joy.
“Hold me in your arms”is another classic song he did that makes my day. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
i never really listened to him, have his album, maybe i should try…well, his death has caught my attention
